And Philomena Doris Umogbai (Late) popularly known as Stephanie Cole and formerly known as Stephanie Aleye Umogbai is a Nigerian Ex Beauty Queen, Actor, Commercial Model, Fashion Designer, Interior Designer and Decorator, 3D Design, AutoCAD & ArchiCad professional and business woman, an industrious lady and philanthropist, Third Child of five children with 2 sisters and two brothers. Married to Godswill Cole Chiori popularly known as Uche Cole, mother to a son, Asher Cole Chiori. Originally from Fugar, Edo state, Nigeria but lives and work in Lagos, Nigeria.
Stephanie was born in Kano, a northern state in Nigeria where she stayed with her family until she was four years old before they moved to Lagos.
She had her early education in Okota, a city in Lagos state, Nigeria and there she had her Primary Education at Ostra Private school, junior secondary at Ansarudeen high school and senior secondary at Altitude College, she graduated high school in 2009 and went on to gain admission to University of Benin to study International studies and diplomacy.
She lost her mum to the cold hands of death in 2010 while she was in the university.
Stephanie took interest in modeling at a very young age but couldn’t do much about it until she was 16, with the guidance of her mum she started going for modeling auditions and contested in beauty pageant competitions, at first she didn’t win any of the early competitions but they built her up for bigger platforms. She featured in her first TV commercial in 2009, contested and won The Sisi Oge cultural Beauty Pageantry in 2011, she did a lot of pet projects and philanthropy during her reign as Sisi Oge and opened her first business, Divanexie Signatures in 2012, an interior Decoration and general supplies company. She went on to contest for another beauty pageantry Face of The World Nigeria in 2014, which she won and also represented Nigeria at the international version of the Face of The World international Beauty Pageant in Birmingham UK one year later in 2015 and won, due to her penchant for fashion, she was also crowned best dressed and styled at the event.
She has also played acting roles in Nollywood movies like Lamine and Eight, both Produced by Kayode Peters, a TV series Karma, showing on DSTV and Produced a 13 Minute anti rape story about a girl raped by her father titled Crushed.
She met her husband in August of 2015, and they got married in February, 2016 and had their child, Asher Cole Chiori in May of the same year.
Due to her love for fashion, she started DVNX FIT Limited with an original plan of producing just denim products, she designed their first denim shoes, slides, jeans pants and other contemporary denim designs, she later on launched her underwear line with male boxers under the Dvnx in print. After selling off the first season of her first designs, she changed the direction of the fashion company and DVNX designs became an all round ready to wear production company and Khavhia Woman was born from there to make bespoke fashion items from Bridal Dresses to all types of evening and red carpet dresses. Both fashion outfits are currently doing well locally and are growing very fast. She’s currently the CEO of DVNX FIT, Khavhia Woman and Eko Gadgets.
She went on acting and modeling hiatus to start a fashion company DVNX FIT Limited, a unisex fashion brand, Eko Gadgets Ltd, a company that deals on mobile phones, laptops, accessories and home appliances and Khavhia Woman, a bridal, red carpet and evening wear fashion brand. She has also also started a Non-Governmental Organization called Women For Leadership and Development Initiative, an Initiative in partnership with her husband.
Women for Leadership and Development Initiative is a movement set up by Stephanie Aleye Chiori and her husband Godswill Cole Chiori to support women in all aspects of life by empowering women and help them find a place in term of politics, social and economic strength in nation development. It is also an Initiative meant to help in reducing women vulnerability and dependency in all sphere of life, to motivate and develop women by promoting their participation in all areas and sectors, to build stronger economies, improve their quality of life and bring gender equality with equal amount of opportunities. It is set out to help them to take their own decisions by breaking all their personal rules that the society and their family has created for them and to make them independent in all aspects from thought, mind, decision, wealth and to bring equality in society. WLD Initiative is Creating Opportunities for Women and Affecting communities positively by
1. ENCOURAGING women to run for office, serve their communities, or start their own business
2. ENSURE that all women feel safe and supported in speaking up for themselves and one another.
3. SUPPORT open and respectful debate on the issues that affect women, their loved ones, and their communities.
4. CELEBRATE and honor women’s achievements in thought leadership and action.
5. CHAMPION women’s ideas, because they believe that their ideas are powerful forces for change.
6. encourage women to Say Something and Speak up when they see a woman being objectified, silenced, mocked, or harassed.
“To awaken the people, it is the women who must be awakened. Once she is on the move, the family moves, the village moves, the nation moves”. So, from the above statement it is quiet easy to understand that if the women of your nation is developed,then the development of your nation is a must.
She has featured on TV commercials for Star Beer, Nexus Home Appliances and Etisalat and recently did a billboard commercial for Nivea’s Glow Like A Bride Campaign.
She’s currently the CEO of DVNX FIT Limited, Khavhia Woman, an Executive Director at Eko Gadgets and Co-founder of Women For Leadership and Development Initiative.
