The husband of Lindsay Birbeck says he is ‘broken’ by her death after she was found dead in a cemetery.
The mum-of-two was found in Accrington Cemetery on Saturday, 12 days after she went missing.
A post mortem on 47-year-old Lindsay Birbeck’s body revealed she was strangled to death.
Now, her heartbroken husband Tim Birbeck, 49, has said he is “broken” by the devastating loss.
Responding to a post on Facebook written by a friend, Tim said he was “broken mate, it certainly hurt”.
Tim went on to thank the police for their work.
He said: “Amazing work from the whole investigation team - you have been amazing in this speedy arrest and the way you have been with my family. Thank you all”.

Tim replied to another friend saying it was “horrendous watching our children go through this as well”.
The couple’s 19-year-old son Steven also said whoever allegedly killed his mum had robbed her of the chance to become a grandmother, reports the Mail .
They also shared 16-year-old Sarah, who received her GCSE results last week.
Steven added: “The fact that she will never see me and my sister grow up and not going to be there on our wedding days and never see her grandchildren deeply saddens us.

“All taken by some selfish person who deserves what comes around.”
After Lindsay was reported missing, more than 19,000 people had joined a Facebook group to assist emergency services with the search.
Mrs Birbeck was last seen on CCTV in Burnley Road, not far from the cemetery, at 4.10pm on Monday, August 12.
Yesterday, police confirmed they had arrested a 16-year-old boy on suspicion of murder.
Det Supt Andy Cribbin, of the Force Major Investigation Team, said: “The response to our earlier appeal has been absolutely overwhelming and I would like to thank everyone who has come forward with information.

“While we have made an arrest our enquiries are very much continuing and I would continue to appeal for anyone with information to come forward, however I would urge people not to speculate and to be mindful of the comments they make, especially on social media, as this causes distress to the family and could impact on our investigation.
